Series information:

"Koe no Katachi" follows the story of Shouya Ishida, a wild and bored elementary school student who, along with his classmates, bullies Shouko Nishimiya, a deaf girl who transfers into their class. They thoughtlessly torment her for their own amusement. However, when Shouko's mother discovers the bullying and informs the school, Shouya becomes the scapegoat and is held responsible for their cruel actions.

As a result, Shouko is forced to transfer out of the school, and Shouya is left isolated and ostracized by his classmates. Despite the teachers' knowledge of the situation, they turn a blind eye to the ongoing torment. This rejection and guilt haunt him throughout elementary and middle school.

Years later, now in his third year of high school, Shouya still carries the burden of his past wrongdoings. He deeply regrets his actions and is determined to seek redemption. With a genuine desire to make amends, he sets out on a journey to reunite with Shouko.

The heartwarming tale revolves around Shouya's sincere attempts to reconnect with Shouko and seek forgiveness for his past behavior. However, the shadows of his past actions continue to haunt him as he faces the consequences of his past actions. Throughout the story, Shouya undergoes a transformative journey of self-discovery and growth, with the hope of finding forgiveness and redemption in the process.
