Seiya Kanie, a highly intelligent and incredibly self-absorbed high school student, thinks that the reserved and beautiful Isuzu Sento has asked him out on a date to a rundown amusement park called Amagi Brilliant Park. However, he soon discovers that it was actually a ploy to recruit him as the park's new manager. Seiya is taken aback because Amagi Brilliant Park is in dire straits. It must attract 500,000 visitors in less than three months or face permanent closure and be taken over by a greedy real estate company.

Despite the disappointing circumstances, Seiya becomes intrigued when he learns that Amagi is not an ordinary amusement park. It is home to Maple Landers, mysterious magical beings who live in the human world and rely on the energy generated by people having fun. Now entrusted with the dreams and aspirations of this enchanted land, Seiya must utilize his many talents to revive Amagi and prevent its demise, or witness its downfall firsthand.
